The 450 Class of the World Supercross Championship entered the arena in Vancouver for its first Main Event of the night. With the World Championship leader and the returning title defender at the starting gate, the tension was palpable.

This first of three sprint races was a true test of focus and speed. Riders had to perform flawlessly immediately to secure a good starting position for the day’s overall standings. The pace was brutally fast from the very first second.

SX1 Race 1 made a clear statement, revealing which of the heavyweights had the best strategy and skill to capture those crucial opening points on the technical Canadian track.
